Mark began his career as an industrial designer at Metro Furniture where he designed products, showrooms and exhibits. Since 1997, he has worked as an independent designer for a range of manufacturers.
Over the course of his 25-year career, Mark's work has been focused largely within the furniture industry with projects spanning a variety of sectors including residential, workplace, education, and healthcare. With each project, he strives to develop thoughtful and purposeful products that address the situational needs of users, while exhibiting a refined and understated aesthetic. His work also reflects an extensive understanding of product development, production, craft, and brand identity.
Mark studied industrial Design at San Jose State University, San Jose, California, and has taught furniture design at California College of the Arts, San Francisco. He lives and works in San Francisco.
